World's Most Mediocre Site

My blog, which very closely resembles a journal, if you like knowing what goes on in a strangers life. It's a great place to detox from dopamine because god knows nothing interesting is going to be written here...

4th week, March, 2026

Didn't abandon the site yet. I wish I could have the energy to at least keep the blog up to date, but alas Uni and overall responsabilities kept me from this tiny hobby to draw my attention back to itself. Overall I'm bummed I haven't continued to update the motorsport page, I wanna get back into it at some point. Anyways let me tell you what has gone on in my life.

Uni started and this semester proved me wrong, it's getting a lil' bit tougher. I've got a semester long project (that I really like) and two week long essays we've got to write (which I also like). I had to buy a laptop (my own) to accomplish my first project, I've got a pretty good Dell laptop, with a nice CPU and it's serving me really well. This fella is also helping me be productive in the down time between classes, so hurray! More time for me.

But as you know being productive drains energy, especially for someone who was a genuine lazy-ass it did take a toll on my well being, but it's like pain after going to the gym... it feels good. Certainly feels better than sitting on my ass all day and doing nothing. I'm still sitting on my ass all day and doing nothing, but I'm slowly chaging.

Three months of being social media free... it doesn't feel that great. Who would've know that you can actually feel pain when you've never been TRULY bored for the past decade? Everytime I'm doing something bareback (ex.: eating with no music, no youtube, no conversation at home) I can feel a sort of muted pain in my head, not like migranes more akin to a sore muscle. Thus I'm keeping busy watching YouTube and (disgracefully) reading reddit. Be warned that quitting social media cold turkey is like quitting soft drugs like nicotine and coffee, ther will be a REAL dopamine drop and you will feel it, take it from me it's not going to be eazy. On that note what has seriously helped me is logging out of all my social media accounts, including YouTube (also I've opted out of having recommendations on YouTube, BIG FUCKING HELP) and my social media consumption has dropped significantly, to the point I can actually feel it. I did say that quitting social media didn't make me feel any better? Well checking my Instagram once in a while doesn't feel like it used to either. I just can't get back into it. So, lose-lose? fuck my chud life...

My car was being serviced since last time, and now that it's all good to go the goddamn gasoline prices have sky rocketed. FUCK MY CHUD LIFE. Anywas, public transportation it is. I feel like going to uni by bus (it's a very short trip) makes me feel better (especially when knowing how much money I'm saving every DAY). I keep eavesdropping conversation of people around me and you get to entertain yourself. I also almost always raw-dog the bus trip as I've lost my bluetooth headphones last year. I'm going to buy a new pair probably in 2028, when I'll finally get employed. Speaking of employment... damn, no work no interviews no nothing. Oh my god it's grim. I am so bloody fortunate for my ENTIRE family to actually support me financially through this time. It's insane and I feel like I don't deserve it and I wish I could pay them back once I make the big bucks.

Do you wonder what happens to people that abandon their site? It always feels so weird, you make this connection to a persons creation and while it's amazing to just go through and read their thoughts, gaze at their art and experience the effort put in making the site work and look good... and then you see that they haven't updated anything in a year or two? It makes me a lil' bit sad, but I sort of get it . Life comes at us fast and while I like reading people's sites and I like making my own, it's always better to live life on your own time.

Checking out for now, I'll be coming back soon. Hopefully back to a constant weekly/biweekly updated. See ya!

3rd week, February, 2026

Did a bit of house keeping, added a small amount of content on the site and updated the "Motorsport" page for the week, new race done, check it out. It's not as good as the previous update but I was a little bit busier than usual. My car is in the shop... again. Did you watch Onio's video? That came out and blew the fuck up at the best possible time.

As for the site, I haven't gotten around to work on the site like I wanted to, unfortunate but I've been busier socially than I've expected.

2nd week, February, 2026

Changed "Blog" to "Journal" and "Avoid" to "Blog" so that the pages actually match the contents.

Exam season almost over, yay. I've "sketched" out the layout of the Fantasy Motorsport Manager page, but I've got to get around and actually play the goddamn game so that I can make content there. I actually really enjoy writing the articles and it's a nice thing to work on. I've "mimicked" the look of older, early 2000's sites (taking very slight inspiration from the early 2000's autosport.com site).

So... Discord. I don't think people will migrate away from it. The alternatives are worse in every way including privacy (looking at you Matrix). Maybe I should write a blog post about it? I'll think about it. I really hope deep in my heart we're going to migrate to self hosted solutions but at the same time I'm sad that so many communities and some people's way of socialising will simply disappear. All in all it's not time yet to say goodbye to Discord, and people will truly not migrate away. I seriously hope I'm wrong with this predicition.

Life is slow during exam season. But next week I'll get back on the horse.

My main plan for the site next week is got actually build a proper main page. I feel it has no purpose right now, while it should be at least a nicer looking page.

4th week, January, 2026

Passed the physics exam, I've got a shitter one coming soon, I've got to study and stop coding. Heh.

I house "sat" (is that even gramatically correct?) last week, haven't actually gotten around to making much on the site outside of the new AVOID page, mostly because my CSS skills are so poor I can only make the site look ok (ish) on a 1080p screen, and not on a 768p one. I've got to work on that as 768p is a pretty common resolution and I can't make it unusable on that sort of resolution. You can only check it out for now on the top menu of the "Home" page, because it's not finished yet and I sort of want to hint that. All in all, it was a wasted week but I've done a couple of things.

First, I initially thought that I would not be able to game on a budget 2014 Linux laptop but I've learned of the Streaming feature of Steam, thus I played a lot of Victoria 3 and Motorsport Manager, and fell in love with the former. It's 10 years old and it held up really well, and I've had great fun playing it. This just gave me an ideea. What if I made like a 2000's motorsport inspired page, sort of like an online sports news page, where I can do a sort of lets play disguised as News Articles? Or maybe a team oriented web page where I can mimic a racing team. I'm betting on the other (but if you specifically want to see one or the other, email me at rapadungasite@gmail.com and tell me what you'd like, if you wanna). This isn't a new idea for me as I wanted to do something simmilar to a Workers and Resouces: Soviet Repbulic playthrough, where I'd be more like a weekly report of how my republic is doing, in a wooden soviet style (again, email me if you think it's a good ideea).

I think I've found a way to curb my social media consumption, by logging out of my social media accounts and NOT storing the passwords in a password manager. I didn't consume as much last week as I wasn't logged in my hand me down machine and I've figured it'd be a good way to continue my "Year of(tm) Social Media detox, now complete".

Edit: I initially we're in February, but no. Not yet.

3rd Week, January, 2026

I've been even busier than usual, couldn't really keep up with much. Haven't played games haven't read books (outside of sneakly reading "On Liberty" by John Stuart Mill at uni). I've done some amateurish work in blender for a couple of friends that need it, and honestly it went pretty bad. My 3D moddeling skills haven't really improved since I have not worked that much the past couple of years. But I still make kick-ass renders and I'm more than happy with (some) of them. I've collected a couple more cool sites I want to add to the Cool Sites list, I will get around to updating the page when I get to it.

Haven't really thought about how the site is going to look, and I won't be able to work on it for a couple of months, I've got midterms and I have to lock the fuck in, I don't want to retake any exams. Although I will be house sitting soon, and I might not have my desktop with me, and the laptop I've been given to study can't do much by itself, so all in all I'll probably squeeze some fresh CSS stuff in it.

2nd Week, January, 2026

Happy New Year! I've been busier than I hoped this holiday season, kind of neglected this barren wasteland of a site. But come February I'll get back on the horse.

I've finished Uncharted 1: Drake's Fortune, awful game avoid at all costs, but it felt nice playing something on the old PS3. I've started Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and from the beginning I was taken aback. The game is STUNNING and is so nice playing it compared to the first.

I repaired my car, it's currently still around. It still needs some other unrelated maintenance. This event ruined my student savings and I'm now poor. Doesn't help part-time jobs are all but gone. Oh well, I'm going to figure something out eventually.

That's it from me for now, I'm working on something more akin to an actual blog, started writing some stuff for it. I hope I'll accomplish my destiny. Hope you had a great holiday season, if not, I hope this year goes great for you from now on. Good luck!

Finally made the coolsites page. I will start filling it up with content as I go, but eventually I want to do a complete site makeover as I've already grown tired of how shit this looks. Although, the layout does serve its purpose. I will probably keep the font, maybe the color, but overall I want the layout changed.

4th Week, December, 2025

There goes 2025. Initially I wanted to add more to this site, but life sure makes you buzy. I really want to finally finish the Cool Sites page, it should be pretty eazy but I've got no idea what the layout is going to be. I want to make it interesting, but I'm unwilling to spend time to actually make it good.

So what is your CGP GREY Yearly Theme? What is CGP's GREY Yearly Theme you might ask? It's the concept popularised by Youtuber CGP Grey where you replace your New Year Resolution with a Yearly Theme. You can search the web for context, but basically you replace an abstract tough goal that you are likely not going to accomplish, like losing weight or quitting ciggarettes, with a more managable theme, like Year Of Weight Loss or Year of Getting Rid of Nicotine. In short rather than accomplishing a goal early in the year and sticking to it, you rather work towards said goal for the entire year, basically making it that yearly theme. Anyways...

My Yearly Theme for 2026 is "Social Media detox, now complete". This has technically been my previous' year theme as well but I've only sort of completed it. For 2025 I've completely uninstalled all social media from my phone, and replaced it with social media on my computer. While this has helped a little bit with my addiction, replacing it with social media on my PC didn't really help that much in the grand scheme of things. This year I'm going to try and make a concious effort to quit social media for good. And I mean all social media, that is including Youtube (which would be asinine to quit outright, it's a great platform but I have to at least try to curb my consumption of media there). Anyways, I'm going to come back to this site next year. Enjoy the holidays!

1st Week, December, 2025

This years Spotify's 2025 Wrapped dropped, and by far it was the least embarrassing Wrapped yet for me. It does seem a struggle for me to have a somewhat decent Wrapped I can share on social media (this year it seemed more people shared their Wrapped, but this might be due to a change in friend groups). Spotify's Wrapped has the quality of cataloguing my low's in music consumption.

It's December, and with nothing better to do I've started updating the site again, but for now I'm simply going to start filling it with content.

I got a 80dolla Philips 120hz screen in the meantime, and damn I've put this off for way to long. The upgrade is sizable. It doesn't help that my old ass monitor was this horrible cheap model from almost a decade ago. What is crazy is that both my monitors cost the same if bought new.

Ram prices are through the roof. I expect this to last for a year or two, when I expect the AI bubble to burst.
