"I've had a great race, there has been great progress made at the factory and it shows. I am really pleased for this result and I'm anxious to show you what we can do." said Ingledew in the post race interview.

"I felt I had the pace today, but a couple of slow pitstops made me lose precious seconds. It's unfortunate, it's not the result I wanted for me, for the team. I could've challenged for 2nd to today, but it wasn't to be. We'll go back to the drawing board and we'll figure out what went wrong." Chu, Rovel Racing.

"I led the middle part of the race, I felt the car was driving really nice but the strategy of going back to super softs on the last pitstop robbed me of a win today. I can't say I'm sad about it but clearly the team made a decision and I have to accept it. This 1-2 finish is really good for the team and I'm confident we can keep this string of results coming." a somewhat distant Tomassi declared.

"We are very happy with the result, our drivers have done a great job. I think it's all 1-2 finishes until the end of the season, we've managed to solve some problems with the engine and now we can challenge even on tracks we were slower before." Martin Neumann, Team Principal for Garuda.

A somewhat moody Popoviciu gave us a short interview. "It's good Chu is first in the Drivers [Championship], but there's a lot of work to do to keep winning." Rovel didn't deliver today in Milan as much as fans hoped, especially when the Carpathian outfit had historically great results.

First win of the season for Nick Chu and Rovel Racing Team.

A hard fought battle for the Romanian outfit in the second race at the Munich Grand Prix ties the Driver's Championship.

Rovel Racing Car

After a strong showing in practice Nick Chu believed that there was pace in the car to win today.

"P3 isn't really where we want to be, but we're starting further ahead tomorrow. It all comes down to the first part of the race, where I believe we have the right car for the job [...] A win is definitely possible tomorrow", the defending champion said to the press after practice ended.

A strong start in the first lap and a poor first stint from Garuda Racing Team's Ingledew solidified Chu's lead in the opening stages of the race. The race thus unfolded when Ingledew's team chose to pit early for mediums, a gamble that eventually proved its worth as by the midpoint of the race the British EPS superstar closed the gap after an impressive charge for the lead. Both cars pitted again on lap 33 for soft tyres, when disaster struck Chu as a refuelling mistake let Ingledew pip Chu in the pits. The stricken driver reprimanded his team on the radio for it's mistake "We can't do this!".
