After a dominant practice session, Garuda managed to comfortably win this weekends Italian Grand Prix. Rovel had a race to forget as their two drivers made numerous mistakes through out the race, managing 2nd and 4th respectively.

Ingledew dominated practice, with teammate close behind. Rovel's Chu was 3 tenths behind.
"The car feels really good, we're in the running for a win tomorrow, I'm sure of it" Ingledew told the press after practice ended.
"I am happy with the car" Garuda's Tolisso added after coming P2 in practice.
"We're close to the front runners, I would've like a higher finish in practice but we always make up in the race" a somewhat disheartened Chu told the press.
Amanda Calvalcanti came a distant forth, ending practice a little over a second behind the front-runners "We are happy overall with todays session, the top 2 teams are still far away, but I believe we can get a good result tomorrow".

The Milan Grand Prix started well for the indian based Garuda Racing team, Paul Tolliso securing the lead very early, while Ingledew was still battling for 4th position. A mistake on lap 1 from Rovel's Moe Furuzuka sent the Japanese national in the gravel trap in the very first corner of the race. Rovel's woes didn't end here as Nick Chu got stuck in traffic in the very beginning of the race, closing the gap to Ingledew only on lap 4, overtaking her for p4. A short battle followed on lap 6 where Chu managed to overtake Tolisso on the home straight, securing the lead and widening the gap. A crash from Silva Racing Team's Melo prompted Chu to pit on lap 12, but the strategy failed as Tolliso exited the pits in front of him on lap 14. The current Drivers Championship leader soon closed the gap but mistakes on lap 22 and 28 let the Frenchman to run away with victory.

The race ended with Garuda securing their 2nd victory, with Ingledew finishing 3rd also. Moe Furuzuka managed her best result yet with an impressive run for 4th, but she didn't manage to challenge for a podium, finishing 40 seconds behind the front-runners. A good race from Calvalcanti sees the Brazilian come a respectable 5th, but not as impressive as Vexala's De Oeste, with a surprise p6 finish. It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for Octane Racing, both drivers finishing well below the top 10.

"Today the car felt great, I felt I had the pace and the team did an amazing job with the pitstops. I couldn't have done it without them. The new powerunit we've got also helped us a great deal." said the victorious Frenchman after the race. "I will enjoy this win, it's great to be back on the top step".
"We had pace today, we've shown this in the first stint, but a couple of slow pitstops and my 2 mistakes in the second stint just let Garuda win today. I'm happy with the result and it shows the team we've got a competitive car but we have to do better to achieve first in the constructors", Rovel's Nick Chu.
"We are very happy with the result, our drivers have done a great job. I think it's all 1-2 finishes until the end of the season, we've managed to solve some problems with the engine and now we can challenge even on tracks we were slower" Martin Neumann, Team Principal for Garuda.
"A third isn't really something I'm very happy about, I'm here to win and today I just didn't have the pace to win. I will come back faster next race.", a disheartened Ingledew told us after the podium celebrations. Due to Chu's fastest lap she's lost first spot in the Drivers Championship.
"[4th] is a good result for the team, I'm overall happy. There's still work to be done, we've got a couple of upgrades we're waiting to show the world.", a cheery Furuzuka told us. "I'm sure we're going to catch up with Garuda, I'm motivated to go for a podium".
A somewhat moody Popoviciu gave us a short interview. "It's good we're the first in the Drivers [Championship], but there's a lot of work to do to keep winning." Rovel didn't deliver today in Milan as much as fans hoped, especially when the Carpathian outfit had historically great results.
Calvalcanti: "I had a good race today, I'm very pleased with the result. It's unfortunate we were overtaken in the last stint of the race, Garuda and Rovel are still a long way away from our pace, but I think we'll close the gap very, very soon. I'm optimistic for some podiums."
De Oeste, Vexala Motorsport: "It's a good result for the team, we're ready to keep these results coming."
Next race in Portugal is set to be another walkout victory for Gardua, but Rovel's new gearbox could give the fans a good battle. Unfortunately the forecast for a Rovel Victory is very slim. Moe Furuzuka BIG mistake on the first lap in the first corner.
